The Boys!!!

On June 2, 2010 we welcomed our two angels, Andrew and Aiden, into this world. Although it is twice the work, it is also twice the fun. Our boys are getting so big since we have taken them home from the hospital. As of last week- Andrew weights 7lbs 3 ounces and Aiden weights 8lbs 2 ounces. They constantly amaze us and it seems like they do something new each day. We love them and cannot wait to see what the future holds. Below is a few pictures of the boys, but don't worry, we will have plenty more!!!

We are officially homeowners! With our family expanding from 2 to 4, apartment living was no longer going to work for us so we bought our first home. We love the peace and quiet and we have amazing neighbors and friends close by. Everyday we see deer in our backyard and are so thankful to have a home!

International Honor Society

Wednesday night Drew was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society!!!! We are so very proud of him!!!! Especially me!!! He is an amazing man!!!! He works full time, is our ward mission leader at Church, in school full time, still there for our family and friends whenever they need him! Not to mention he is the best husband ever! He still manges to get straight A's! What a trooper!!!

Halloween Weekend!

Friday Cindy and I had a full blown girl's night! Drew even left to go hang out with the boys. We went out to dinner, shopping and then came back and watched chick flicks all night . And there was lots of chocolate involved. It was a great night! Here we are decked out in our Halloween outfits!

Saturday we went to a Halloween party at Cindy and Stephen's house. Stephen is practicing his best Batman pose!

We grilled out hamburgers in the rain and watched a scary movie. We also played a few games.

Hanson Concert and 100th Post

Before there was Backstreet Boys and N'Sync there was Hanson. And Hanson is still going strong!!! I haven't really kept up with them over the years so I didn't even know they were still touring. My oldest sister Wendy's husband works security at concerts every now and then. So one night she called me and said the arena he was working at that night was selling tickets to Hanson and he said we would pick me up some tickets if I wanted to go. I was surprised that they were still doing concerts and that my brother in law remembered I like them!!! How sweet is he? So my mom and sister, Laura were kind enough to go with me to see Hanson!!!
We were standing in line to get into the Tabernacle and of course the batteries in my camera die. I really wanted to take pictures of the concert. But we were in luck because there was this man on the street playing his harmonica and he just happen to have a pack of batteries. My sister asked him if we could buy 2 batteries and $5 later I had a working camera! The most expensive batteries I have ever bought ,but so worth it!

Hanson performed with Hello goodbye. There was also two other bands who opened up for them Sherwood and Steel Train. They were actually pretty good and Hello Goodbye was really good also. Laura even bought Sherwood's CD. Hanson didn't perform until almost 10:00. They sang until midnight!!! I think that was one of the longest concerts I have ever been too, but it was so worth the $10 I spent on the ticket!! It was a great night!!! Thanks to my wonderful family!!!

Today I am turning 26!!! I still can't believe how fast time goes by. Ten years ago I was 16. . .WOW!!! It feels just like yesterday, seriously! I thought I would feel pretty old since I am on my way to being 30, but I actually feel great!!! I am very happy were I am at in my life. I have an awesome wonderful husband who is perfect in every way. Hopefully we will be adding to our family soon. I can't wait for that day!!! I have a super supportive family who I love dearly and fantastic friends who are always there for me! Life is good!!!!

Cindy's wedding is this weekend so of course before the big day we had to celebrate with just the girls! We went out for dinner and then a night out on the town while wearing are appropriate party attire!!! We did get several stares and questionable looks!!!! But it was fun!!! Then we spent the rest of the night at Cindy's watching movies and enjoying chocolate fondue!!!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was spent by the pool. Drew's parents just moved into a new house with a pool and a hot tub!!! I think Labor Day weekend was a perfect time for them to move in. We had a date night with Cindy and Stephen last weekend. After dinner we convinced them to give it a try at Guitar Hero. They were actually really good for first timers! I am proud to admit that I have been practicing my skills and I can actually play a whole song with out being "booed off"!!! I have to say since playing this game I have grown a very strong admiration for musicians. I can't even imagine playing a "real" instrument and being able to sing at the same time!!! That takes some major talent!

Trip to Rome

The last weekend in July we spent at Wes and Tracy's in Rome. We had a blast on Saturday night eating edamame, sipping on smoothies and playing Mexican train dominoes. Sunday the rest of the family came up for a B.B.Q. We decided to get everyone together for a family picture. There are so many of us now it is hard to round everyone up. I think we did pretty good.

Saturday night Drew and I hosted a birthday party for Drew's dad, Andy. He turned 46Th this year. We gave him a set of Aqua Globes as a gag gift. It was pretty funny. There is a joke behind it. Maybe we will get them back for Christmas.

I made homemade banana pudding. It just looks so pretty and it tasted pretty good too!

Family Reunion in Cape May

Every 2-3 years my Dad's family gets together for a reunion. Our family is very spread out. Since we have relatives that live in New York, Arizona, Kansas, North Dakota, Minnesota, and of course Georgia we have the reunion in different destination each time. 3 years ago it was in Minnesota and this year we traveled to Cape May , New Jersey. It was a very long drive for us (trust me), but so worth it. Cape May is a very unique beach town. It is the oldest seaside town in the U.S. and 3rd top place for destination weddings. It is absolutely beautiful. We had so much fun walking around looking at old houses and going to the shops and of course the beach. And the weather was perfect. It was 80 degrees only one day we were there. The rest of the time it was in the 70's. A nice break from the GA heat. Each day everyone would all meet up at the beach each morning and then later on we would all meet to have dinner at a different family's "house" for the night. We ate a deliciousley huge meal each night. My favorite part of the trip was sitting around and spending time with my family. It was so good to see all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins. My grandparents have passed on ,but it so neat to see everyone together and to look at what just 2 people started. It is amazing. The only thing I did not like about the trip is Drew was not able to go. I missed him terribly. As always I have a ton of pictures.

This building was used during WWII to protect the coast line. It has since been abandoned. It was so weird to see something this big on the beach, but it was really cool.

Saturday we spent the day with Drew's dad at Granny's. We had a good time just hanging out and telling old stories. I'll be sure not to ask about Leon and the can opener again. . . Lee and Tammy. Just kidding. Sunday we went to my parents house and celebrated my Dad's birthday, my sister's birthday and our niece and nephews, Emme and Matthew's birthday and of course Father's Day. Spontaneous trip to Tennessee

The weekend before last we took a spontaneous trip to Chattanooga. I say spontaneous because we had planned to go somewhere that weekend,but between the four of us we could not decide where to go and we all had a lot of stuff to do that weekend. As it turned out we really had our hearts set on getting away for the weekend. We booked the hotel Friday night and left early Saturday morning. Probably the most spontaneous you will ever see us get! We had a wonderful time in Rock City, Ruby Falls, and the Aquarium. We did a lot of stuff in the short time we were there, but it was actually relaxing and so nice to get away. As you can see we took a bunch of pictures!

Ruby Falls

Ruby Falls was a little scary. I had always heard of Ruby Falls, but I had no idea it was in a cave! We walked a half mile into the cave and over 1100 ft under ground. We were at the tail end of our group and so our tour guide asked Drew to be the "Caboose". Whenever we got to a stopping point she called out Drew's name and Drew had to yell "Whoohoo!" It was pretty funny! When we went to the aquarium the next day we saw somebody who was in our group and they pointed to Drew and said there's the Caboose.

The waterfall is 125ft long. It was really pretty! And we all got a little wet from the spray and being underground!

Our last stop in Chattanooga was the Tennessee Aquarium. It was great. I had gone many times before, but Drew and our friends had never been. Drew got to feed a string ray and we both got to touch one. That was werid, but neat. Once again there is a lot of pictures. I had a hard time deciding which ones to post.

We are back to the blogging world!!! Our computer is finaly up and running and it so awesome!! I have missed my computer dearly. So thanks to Lee and Rachel for all your help. You guys are awesome. I know you guys have been dying to see what we have been up to for the past 2 months. So here ya go. This just might be the longest post ever. Enjoy!

Sewing has become my newest hobby

The finished product. It actually turned out really good. I have to say I was totally surprised!! Maybe I could be a seamstress after all. All I need now is a sewing machine.

Since being on Facebook I have caught up with a lot of old friends. This is one of my best friends in the whole wide world, Stephanie. We have know each other since we were 5. She is awesome. And lives way too far away. I hadn't seen her in like 5 years ,but it was like we were never apart.

We have started a new tradition in my family. . .Girl's Night. We all live so close to together and seems like we only see each other when it is some one's birthday or a holiday. So we decided to hang out once a month with just the girl's. April's theme was Italian night at my house. Everyone brought an Italian dish to share. We ate , played games and laughed a ton. It was great! Can't wait for next months.

My computer is dead for the time being so I will try to update at work when I have a chance. If you email me or send me a message on facebook. It may take a while for you to get a reponse. Sorry about that. Dang, computers. You can't help ,but love them and hate them at the same time. We had a great weekend except I have a terrible cold that won't go way.

Saturday we had book club at Granny's house. We all had a great time and then some of us stayed after and watched Twilight!!!! I can't even remember how many times I have seen it now. It is still so good. After we watched it at Granny's house Drew and I went and bought it. The lady that checked us out said that this is what everyone is buying today. They only had a few copies left. And then Drew and I went home and watched it together. Yes, I watched it twice in one day!

Oh, I almost forgot. My friend Cindy has bought her first sewing machine and has persueded me that I need to learn how to sew too. I have sewed before , but only in like home ec and a few times at church. But, I have never actually made something that I would where. We went to Joann's and bought materials to make a skirt with. I wish I could so you a picture of the fabric. It is really cute. It is pink with a black print. So wish me luck on my new sewing endevor. We will see how far I get.

Spring Break

This past week was Drew's much needed Spring Break. He is taking 18 hours this semester and has been working hard. So for Spring break we just really sat around and did nothing. It was great. But, we did get to babysit for our friends Jene and Megan. They have a 4 month old and he was absolutely perfect whole time. Drew and I have really been talking about having children lately and this only increased my baby fever (thanks Jene and Megan). Drew has not been around a lot of babies so it was neat to see him with the baby. He is going to make a wonderful father one day.

Another wonderful thing about my husband is he actually likes to go shopping. I know isn't he the best? Our usual date nights consist of going out to dinner and then looking around Target or something. We did that a lot this week just going to stores here and there. Check out Drew's new running shoes. I think they are pretty cool. I am a huge fan of red.

Drew had to give another talk in church today and he did awesome! Good job, Baby!

Snow Day

I have to say today was a wonderful day! I got to stay home with my husband and just relax. This is one of the greatest things I love about Georiga because when it snows it is like everything stops. A few weeks ago I got to hang out with one of my best friends, Kayle! It was so good to see her. She lives in Washington right now, but in a few months she is going to move over seas. I am really going to miss her. With most of my friends I can remember the first time I met them. But with Kayle it seems like we have always just been friends. I can't pinpoint we when met, but we just have been like 11 or 12? Kayle is so awesome and she is reason I met my wonderful husband! Miss you girl!

Valentine's Day Party

On Valentine's Day Drew and I normally go out to dinner, but this year we were invited to a Valentine's Day party with several other couples. We made calzones and dinned by candlelight. During dinner we went around the table and answered random relationship questions. After dinner we played some crazy ,but hilarious games. All I am going to say is some of them involved balloons, a plunger and a roll of toilet paper, and a hot dog and a sting. We had so much fun. I think we were all rolling on the floor with laughter (some of us literary). Thanks to our wonderful hosts, Claire and Emily, we had a great Valentines Day. Here are a few highlights.

Valentine's Day and Baptism

Drew and I started Valentine's Day early and brought ourselves a cookie cake from Kroger. I love Valentine's Day. I miss the days when I would get a box full of Valentines. But, this year I will take tickets to the Keith Urban concert in June instead. I am not hinting around or anything.

Girls Night and Cake

I have found a new addiction. . .face book. I joined last week and dragged Drew along with me. I have gotten in touch with friends from when I was like 5 years old, friends from high school, and even primary teachers from when I was little. Everyday I check to see how many "friends" I have. OK,I'll admit sometimes more the once a day. Drew thinks I am crazy, but it is so much fun. So if you can't find me I am probably on face book. Here are a few pictures from the past week.

Thursday I spent the evening at Julie's house. She made a great dinner of Chicken Cordon Blue( is that how it's spelled?) and we watched a chick flick, the Reluctant Debutante. It is one of Julie's favorites and now mine too. Saturday Drew and I went to a wedding for a friend from high school. Check out the wedding cake.

It is Krispie Kreme donuts! I think this could be the best tasting "wedding cake" I have ever had.

Week in Review and News

Wow, we have had a busy week . Make that a busy month. I honesty have no idea where January went. The first month of the year gone, already! It seems like Christmas was just yesterday. Anyways. ..last week in review. . .Wednesday my mom and I brought dinner to my good friend Jenn and her family. I have know Jenn since we were like 13. She is such a great friend. Jenn just had twin girls a few weeks ago. They are cutest babies ever, Geneva and Brooklyn. Not to mention she also has a 2 year-old. Christian turned two only 6 days before the babies were born. She is now supermom. They are all doing great. I still can't believe she has 3 kids! Wow, below is picture of the new family of 5.

Thursday night we had Cooking club at church and made fondue. It was really good. We had chocolate and fruit, cheese and bread, meat and all kind of different dipping sauces. The only fondue I have really had before this was just from a chocolate fountain. So it was pretty cool. Megan and I went together. We really haven't hung out much since the baby so it was great to catch up.

On Saturday morning we had a in service meeting with the board members in Relief Society. I had to teach a lesson and have been working on it for a while. Surprisingly it went really well. I am still new at teaching and I every time I have to teach I get really nerveous before. But it was actually great and I think am getting better at it. Our theme for Relief Society this year is "Instruments in His Hands". We had a little medical thing going on. We were all wearing scrubs and lab coats. It turned out really cute. I wish I had a picture of that.

Saturday afternoon was book club at Britt's house. And oh, my goodness she made this awesome White Chicken chili. Mm mm. . .it was so good. I think I ate like 2 bowlfuls. I think she is going to post the recipe on the book club blog. Next month I have to host book club at my house. I will have to put up some pictures of that.

And for the news . . .are you ready? ? ? ? No, sorry I am not pregnant. Oh that reminds me. . .We were all at book club and my Mom gets all serious and she is like I have to tell you guys something and we are all on the edge of our sit wondering what she is going to say. She turns and looks at me and says "I am pregnant" I knew she was joking, but she really had me going there for second. Anyways. . .the exciting news. . .some of you may already know this. . . Drew was called to be the Ward Mission Leader at church yesterday!!!! That is a pretty big calling. We have know for a couple of weeks now. It has been hard not to tell anyone. Now that it is official I can tell the whole world! It is just so amazing to me to see how much Drew is growing. He has only been a member of the church for 4 years!!! He is awesome. I just can't describe to you how wonderful he is!!! So he is working full time, taking 18 hours worth of classes and is the ward mission leader!!! I am so proud. You go , Baby!!! I know he will be great!!!! Well, I think that is everything that has happened this week. Sorry for the long winded post!!

Dean's List and Makeovers

I just wanted to say congratulations to my wonderful husband. Drew made the Dean's List for fall semester!!! To make it on the Dean's list you have to have at least a 3.6 GPA or greater. And he did it his first semester of college while working full time and taking a full load!!! Amazing. I am so proud of him!!! Way to go babe!!!! On Thursday my good friend Julie and I got Mary Kay makeovers from our friend Meranda. I have never been a big fan of Mary Kay before, but I really liked some of there stuff. It was fun to try some different looks. Don't we look gorgeous???

On Saturday Drew started back to school. He is taking 18 hours this semester and working full time. He is going to be very busy, but I know he can do it. I am very proud of him. He is super smart and he is very good at prioritizing his time. That is something that I am not good at. I am so last minute. I am trying to do better. After Drew got home from school we ran to Wally-world and did some shopping. Then we met up with Cindy and Stephen at Five Guys. After dinner we went to Rita's for Italian ice and custard. Very yummy.

Today I went and saw Twilight for the fifth time. Yeah I know call me crazy. But it so good and I have had wonderful people to see it with each time. It really has been a lot of fun. I don't think I have ever seen a movie this much in theaters or on DVD. I still know someone who has seen Twilight more then me. Two people actually and you know who you are. So I am not that bad. And I got the Soundtrack today too. I am listening to it right now. Thanks to Granny and Lee!!!! And it couldn't have happened on a better day because I am kind of sad today. Drew starts back to school on Saturday. I have really enjoyed our time together over the holidays. It went by so fast. And January is flying by already. I am going to miss him so much!!!! But on the bright side I'll have plenty of time to hang out with my girlfriends.

For the past few weeks we have been without a printer. Only because we needed a new cartridge and I guess we have been lazy about getting a new one. So instead we decided to use our Christmas money and invest in a laser jet printer! It prints 23 pages a minute. Imagine that! It is the coolest thing ever.

We spent New Year Eve at my parents house. We have gone to their house for New Years for the past 3 years now. It has kind of become a tradition. Christmas #1
After several attempts to load pictures onto the computer , I have given up. Our computer is driving us crazy. So here is our Christmas post without any pictures. It makes me sad. I am still hoping that we will be able to load them. So you guys will have to read a lot. Sorry!!!! I really enjoy having my family live so close,but we were pooped afterwards. All in all we had 4 different Christmas's. Christmas Eve was spent at my parents house. I think this was the first Christmas we had an untrational meal. We had pizza burgers "flying style" and french fries with gravy. It is always a family favorite and pretty easy. I am still amazed at how big my family is getting. There is 17 of us now. Wow!!! Always a full house when we get together.

Christmas #2.
This is the first year Drew and I actually opened wrapped gifts that we had gotten each other. We normally just go pick out something together so there are no surprises. As soon as Drew buys a gift for me he gives it to me right away. There is nothing wrong with that, but I like a little anticipation. He was a very good sport this year. We actually waited till Christmas morning. It really made it quite exciting. We had fun opening gifts just the 2 of us on Christmas morning.

Christmas #3
Around noon we went to Drew's parents house. We opened more gifts and ate a ton of Drew's Grandma's southern cooking. His grandparents have been in town from Mississippi for the past couple of weeks so we have spent a lot of time with them. It makes me feel like a kid again. All of my grandparents have already passed. So I really enjoy spending time with Drew's Grandparents. They are good ole' Mississippians.

Christmas #4
That evening we made the trip across the street to Granny's house. For more presents and good food. We had Granny's homemade sausage balls and curry dip. And we listened to the Cat Christmas CD that is played every year. Granny pulled out the Christmas coloring books that Drew and his sister colored on when they were little. It is neat to look at things that Drew did when he was little. He was such a cute kid!!!!! We also went around the room and talked about our most memorable Christmas. We all enjoyed going down memory lane. Christmas is still my favorite time of year. I love being around family, friends, the decorations, picking out gifts for everyone, the lights. I wish I could leave my decorations up all year. Just kidding! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!! Happy New Year!!!

Book Club

Thursday we had our December book club meeting. My friend Cindy and I started it a few months ago and it has been a great success. At first I thought it would kind of be a hassle, just another thing to add to my list. Instead it has really been wonderful. I am an big reader so it is nice to talk with someone who has read the sames books as me. But, it is also a lot more then that. I really have enjoyed meeting new people and forming new friendships. Saturday I went to my best friend Gracie's bridal shower. I still can't believe she is getting married. Then I look at myself am like wow, "I have already been married for 3 years." It is amazing how as you get older time seems to speed up. Gracie and I have know eachother since we were 11 years old. We ate lunch together on our very first day of 6th grade and have been best friends ever since. I have numerous memories of Backstreet Boys concerts and slumber parties. Soon we will be making new memories with weddings and children. Growing up is exciting! Gracie I am so happy for you. I can't wait for the wedding!!! Love you!!!

Finally our tree is up. I still have yet to put out all the other decorations. Normally we decorate like way before Thanksgiving, but this year Christmas has snuck up on me. I just love Thanksgiving, visiting with family and eating a ton of food. Two of my favorite things to do. When you have lots of family that lives nearby it is always hard figuring out whose house you are going to. We have a system that has been working for the past few years. Every other year we go to my parents and then the next year Drew's family. So this year we all went to my parents and then next year everyone goes to their in laws. It really works out great.

Twilight. It was absolutely perfect!!! It was everything I thought it would be. The cast was amazing. Especially Edward. ..I had my doubts at first, but he was fantastic. This is the movie I could watch over and over again. Definitely one I will buy. Love it, love it, love it!!!

RS Conference, Baby, and Hot Chocolate

I am playing catch up from last weekend. So bare with me. Saturday was another busy day for us. Drew had class in the morning and I went to my first Relief Society Stake Conference. I rode with the RS Pres. so we got there kind of early and then we had to stay after for a meeting. But it was great! I really loved all of the speakers and classes. And the lunch was yummy too!!! It was neat to visit with all the sisters I haven't seen since moving to the Whitewater ward. It made me think of all the dear friends I have made over the past few years. And I know anyone of them would come to my aid if I needed them. After the conference I had few minutes to run home and take a nap. And then Drew and I went to the hospital to see Jene and Megan's new baby, Eric. He is so cute. And he has a ton of dark hair. A very beautiful baby. Congratulations, guys!!!! It is so funny because everyone is pestering Drew about having kids. Especially his own family. His Granny is already starting to make a baby blanket!!! Maybe she knows something we don't!!! To end out our Saturday we went to Granny's to have hot chocolate and play some games. Drew and I are hot chocoalate-holics right now. Last night we went to Wal-mart and bought 5 different kinds when we already have a ton at home. Anyways instead of game night it actually turned into a beach meeting. Yes, we are already planing our next trip to the beach in September of 09'. Can't wait! I'll have more updates soon!

Drew and I are reading this book together. It is from the movie Fireproof. I have yet to see the movie, but I hear it is really good. I heard about the book from my sister-in-law. It is a 40 day challenge for husbands and wife's to practice unconditional love. Each day you read a couple of pages and then it gives you a dare for the day. It is simple things, but it really makes you think about how you interact with your spouse. For Drew and I most days we barely see each other. So it is a great way for us to spend a few minutes together at the end of the day. We are actually having fun with it. We are only on day 10 right now, but it is going well.

Last night Drew's class meeting got cancelled so we decided to carve a pumpkin. But we had to get one first. With only two days before Halloween we didn't have much of a selection to choose from. We went to Wal-mart, K-mart, and Kroger and they were completely out. Then we remembered the fire station had some for sale. Yes, it was the fire station right by our house after we had drove all over town. In the end we found our "perfect" pumpkin. This was Drew's first pumpkin he had ever carved. I took out all the pumkin guts while he carved the pumpkin. I think we did pretty good. Take a look for yourself.

Last weekend I finally got to see Wes and Tracy's new baby, Ellie. I went up with my parents, but Drew was not able to go because he had a lot of studying to do. Last Saturday we had "Super Saturday" at church. It is basically a craft/project day for all the woman. It was a lot of fun just hanging out and working on things together. Homemade Biscuits

Last night I and the rest of the Relief Society Presidency got together to watch Pres. Dieter F. Uchtdorf talk from the General Relief Society conference. His talk was wonderful. He talked about ways to find happiness and joy through being creative and having compassion. And as woman we sometimes let fear of failure stop us from doing things. That is so me. It was a very inspiring talk. So this morning we got to sleep in because it is conference weekend and we can watch it on the internet. I love conference especially when you can watch it in your pj's. Anyways I felt like making something. I guess I was still feeling inspired from the talk. I looked up recipes online for biscuits and pancakes. And discovered I actually had all the ingredients for biscuits except baking powder. I gave Drew's parents a call and they had baking powder on hand. Score! So I whipped everything together and created biscuits. I made homemade biscuits!!! This is like huge for me. I am not much of a cook. Here is a picture of my beautiful biscuits. They are not really thick, but they were super good. So yea for me!

Another Baby Shower

Thursday night my friends and I threw a baby shower for our good friend, Megan. The shower was hit. Everyone had a blast playing the baby/balloon game. I wish I had some pictures of that. St. George Island

We took our annual trip to the beach last week with Drew's family. It seemed like we a had all been waiting forever for our trip to the beach. And of course it went by so fast. We loved every minute of doing absolutely nothing. The best part is Drew was able to go. We didn't think we was going to be able to go with school and everything. But at the last minute it all worked out. It was wonderful. This was our second trip to St. George Island. Not many people have heard of it. It is close to Apalachicola. Apalachicola is a small fishing town. It almost feels like you are walking back in time. Really cool. You have to take a bridge a several miles out to get to St. George. The island is very secluded. There are several houses and like only one very small condo and like 3 or 4 restaurants. It is very nice and quiet. And since we went in September there was nobody there. The perfect vacation. They are building a new light house on the island. So we weren't allowed to go inside. The last one was really close to the water and was hit by a storm and collapsed into the ocean. They were able to salvage some of it and most of the bricks are from the original lighthouse.

We went to a couple of shops on the island. And we even picked up some Christmas gifts. Check out the sign.

The sunsets were beautiful. Almost every night we sat on the beach till the sun went down.

This is the house we stayed in "My Blue Heaven". It is so nice and we couldn't have asked for a better location.

One time Drew and Brandon were coming in from fishing and Brandon almost stepped on a string ray. The rest of us were sitting on the beach and all we could here was Drew and Brandon screaming. It looked pretty funny from were we where. But not for Drew and Brandon. It was pretty scary.

Baby Shower in Rome

A couple weekends ago. I know like so long ago right. I wasn't even going to post this ,but I am super excited about my new niece. And she could come almost any day now. My brother and his wife Tracy are having their second baby girl. They already have a named picked out, Ellie Faith. Very cute!

I think it is funny that my brother is having all girls. He was the only boy in our family growing up and now he is still surrounded by girls. I will post pictures of Ellie after she is born ,but for now here are a few pictures from the baby shower.

Drew may not be a dad yet, but he did get some first hand experience last night. Our niece , Emme was particpating in a daddy daughter Olympics at their church. Her dad is a firefighter and was not able to get off work. So Emme asked Drew to be her "Dad" for the night. Drew was honored that she has asked him. It was a really neat and fun experience. I have to say Sharpsburg ward went all out too. They put a lot of time and effort into the evening. They even handed out gold, silver and bronze medals to the top three teams. It was great!

The last event of the night was edible fear factor. Drew had to eat dog food. It really wasn't dog food. It was corn beef hash or something. We think. Drew said it was disgusting, but he kept it down. The other Dad's had to eat octopus. Drew is allergic to shellfish. So luckily he is able to get out of the that. I had a hard time watching them eat the octopus. One of the dads was not able to keep it down. Talk about gross.

Weekend away in Savannah

Labor Day weekend Drew and I took a much needed vacation to Savannah. We went with our friends Cindy and Stephen. I have been to Savannah several times. Each time I love it more. There is so much to do and it is so beautiful. I love how you can just walk everywhere. It feels like a small town. This was Drew's first trip there. We both had a really good time. Thanks to Cindy for convincing us to go. We took like a ton of pictures. So this is kind of long. I still haven't figured out how to do a slide show yet. Enjoy!

For dinner we went to a place called the Cotton Exchange. It was recommend to us by Jene and Megan. And it was really good. Everywhere we went the food so good. I would just come back for the restaurants.

Sunday morning we went to Tybee Island.It was really windy and the waves were huge. But it was very relaxing. And of course we all got sunburned. The beach is one of our favorite places to go.

First Day of College

Last Saturday I sent my baby off to his first day of college. I am so proud of him. So far he is loving it. He is super busy ,but doing great. All of his hard work will soon payoff. I love you babe!

We have been super busy lately. This event happened like 2 weekends ago. I am just now blogging about it. August 9th my brother graduated from from Emory University with a masters in Anaesthesiology. I have to brag. I am so proud of him. This is the third time he has graduated from college. Yeah I know the third time. I think this is it for now. He is a respiratory therapist , phyiscan's assistant and now a anesthetist. He has worked so hard. He always put church and family first. And look how far he has come. At the ceremony he got an award for the highest GPA in his class. Amazing. After the graduation we celebrated by going to Wes's favorite restaurant Pappasitos. One my favorites too. Saturday we went to "Supper Club". It is this new thing we are starting in our ward where several ward members get together at another members home and we each bring a dish to share. It was great. I think we should do it once a week rather then once a month. We had so much fun! The food was delicious. So far I think all of my post have something to do with food. Hmm. . I wonder what that says about me. Anyways . . .our hosts Julie and Brian out did themselves. I think everyone had a great time. After dinner we played some games. It was really neat. I felt like we really got to know some of our ward members a lot better. Later on after some people have already left we played Rock Band. Drew and I have never played anything like it before. But we had a blast! I know that is the closest I will probably ever come to a musical instrument. It was really neat. I am already hooked. We had a video of us playing courtesy of Julie, but we looked like dorks. So I am not going to post it. Even though it might be very amusing for some. Sorry.

Wow! Where to begin? After we went to Andy's birthday party we met up with Cindy and Stephen to see the premiere of The Dark Knight! First we met at Moe's for dinner and the we went to Wal-Mart to get movie snacks. When we got to the movies,the theatre was pretty packed,but we actually got really good seats (Drew was real worried about that.. ha..ha). We actually saw some friends from church there too. The movie was AMAZING and we totally recommend seeing it. It is not suitable for young kids though, it a pretty dark movie. Heath Ledger's performance really made the movie. It is sad that he is gone. Drew really wants to see it in the theatre again, but we will see how that goes.. Another fun filled weekend for the Case's.

Once again we went to Granny's for yet another celebration. This summer we have had several family get togethers. It has been so much fun. We really enjoy spending time with both our families. They are so awesome. This celebration was for Drew's dad, Andy. It was his 45th birthday on Saturday. We had some of Lee Lee's homemade pizzas and ice cream cake. After all of the yummy food we sat around and talked about the beach. Everyone is getting beach fever. Our annual beach trip is in September. We can't wait!

Our Weekend

I am always updating way after the fact. Sorry. Maybe one day I will have more time. So this past weekend we hung with our friends, Jene and Megan on Friday night. Then on Saturday we went out with the missionaires and later that evening went to the Pilcher's wedding reception. But we did manage to find time and go shopping. I went looking for a swimsuit ,but we left with two suits for Drew. Now that he is going to college we thought it was high time he invest in a suit. Doesn't he look look hansome?

Amish Friendship Bread

I know you guys are probably all going "that is bread?" Well, in 10 days it will be or should be. Each day you are supposed to "mash the bag" and then on Day 6 you add more ingredients. On the 10th day you bake it. Before baking you portion out some in bags for starter kits to pass along to your friends. I got this bag from a friend at work. So it is kind of like a chain letter . I thought it sounded pretty neat. So if any of you want to make some Amish Friendship bread, let me know. We will see how I am doing in 10 days.

Monday we went to Cindy's for Stephen's birthday. As always Cindy out did herself. We had everything from egg drop soup to fortune cookies. The food was awesome. We had a really good time.

Check out the cake. Cindy and I took a cake decorating class a few months back. I don't think I have made a cake since then. I really need to brush up. As you can tell Cindy is doing a great job.

The 4th of July

In the morning we literally rolled out of bed and walked to the parade right at the beginning of our complex. This was our 2nd year going to the 4th of July parade. We have loved it each time. It is so neat how the community gets together. It really makes for a great day. Here are some pics.

Later that afternoon we had a cookout at Granny's. We had hamburgers, brats, Lee's Fruit Salad and to top it off homemade ice cream. Good food, good conversation, and good people. What more could you ask for? After Granny's Drew and I had dinner with my parents and then later we met up with Drew's parents for fireworks. The 4th would not be complete with out fireworks. Sorry I don't have any pics of fireworks. None of them turned out. But we had a blast watching them right on the lake.

Drew the Missionary

This Sunday at church we had combined Relief Society and Priesthood and Drew had to give a little talk about missionary work. And I have to say he did such a wonderful job. I am so proud of him. It is so amazing to see him grow in the gospel and how it has affected his life. Just 3 years ago the roles were reversed and he was the one investigating the church. He has come so far. Way to go, Drew! That was really the only exciting thing we did this weekend. It was nice to do nothing for once. I'll have more later.

Trip to Rome

This past weekend I was able to help my brother, Wes and his family move from Atlanta to Rome. Besides the work, we all had a great time. They are a little bit further from us now and we are going to miss them a ton. But we couldn't be happier for them. Their dreams are coming true!

Their house is big and beautiful. It has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Tons of room!

Their house is across the street from a pasture. I thought the cows were cute. Sometimes you can hear them mooing from inside the house. It was neat.

Father's Day- 06/14/08

Well we celebrated Father's Day a day early, but it was awesome! We grilled BBQ chicken, brats, sausage, and steaks! Nothing is better than sitting outside and talking while good food is grilling.

We got Andy a brand new tackle box for Father's Day and he absolutely loved it. Fishing is one of his favorite hobbies. We really had a fun Father's Day.

New Car 06/13/2008

Well we finally got the Pathfinder and we absolutely love it!! Thanks Granny!!! We now own all three cars, but will be giving the the one in the middle (our prized Geo Prizm) to Rachel. She really needs a good reliable car and that is what family is for to help each other out. We will be getting much use out of the Pathfinder and are very excited to have all the extra room.

Well its official, Drew finally got his schedule. We have really been worried if he would be able to get a good schedule where he could work and go to school and Heavenly Father truly answers prayers!! Drew will have a full load of school and work so please keep him in your prayers. We are very excited to see what the future will hold for us!

Birthday Parties and Father's Day- 06/08/2008

I made these brownies for my dad and pleases don't be alarmed the green/blue stuff is sprinkles and it is supposed to say Happy Birthday!

Look at how cute my niece is and Drew believes she is the smartest baby around. Father's Day was really fun we ate some more grilled hamburgers and ate some of my homemade brownies. Seeing family always makes us happy.

Sunday was a very busy day for us. We had church and two birthday parties and a Father's Day celebration! It was our good friend Jene's birthday and we celebrated it at our other good friend J.D. and Merideth's house. We had a really good time, we grilled burgers and ate some delicious desserts. Look at this cute picture of Drew holding Avery, he will make a really good dad!

Pizzas with Cindy and Stephen 06/07/2008

After our fun filled afternoon berry picking we had a date night with Cindy and Stephen. We actually decided to make home made pizzas and watch a movie at Stephen's house. Making the pizzas from scratch was really fun and it honestly taste better that buying it at the store. While Cindy and I were making the pizza Drew and Stephen were watching/playing HALO 3 and playing with Cindy's dog. I took a very flattering picture of them watching the game.We watched the movie Mama's Boy and it was alright, it had the guy from Napoleon Dynamite. After the movie it was getting late so we decided to head on home.

Strawberry and Blackberry Picking 06-07-2008

Wow! we had an amazing time going to Adams farm and picking berries. We have lived here for so long and yet we still haven't been to Adam's farm. We actually went with our really good friend Cindy and her mother and picked almost ten pounds of berries! Drew said he had a really good time and it reminded him of his childhood when he would go in his Granny's garden. We were out there for about an hour and then it got way too hot. We actually saw friends from church there also. We totally recommend going there if you are looking for something fun to do when you have some free time.
